2010 Huckleberry Blush Geek Notes

Vineyard:

Huckleberries picked by local pickers for Gem Berry Products. 1200 lbs of Huckleberries rendering a 4.5% blend into Riesling made from Yakima Valley vineyards.

Winemaking:

·  2000 gallons Riesling reserved for Huckleberry Blush. Huckleberries are fermented separately from Riesling.

·  Takes approximately 10 days to ferment. · Huckleberry wine is then infused into the Riesling in stainless steal tanks.

· Huckleberry wine makes up 4.5% of the blend when bottled.

 · Residual Sugar: 1.8%

· Bottled: March 2-3, 2011

· Released: June 2011

· pH: 3.15

· TA: 6.2 g/liter

· Alcohol: 12.1%

· Cases produced: 902
