Artwalk Reception for Artist Scott Kirby

We are delighted to launch the Pend Oreille Art Council’s Art Walk with a reception featuring the stunning paintings of Scott Kirby. Referred to as an “accidental artist” by Sandpoint Magazine — Scott is also an accomplished pianist — he began painting in 2005 after nine months of drawing with dual-tip brush pens. Though some of Scott’s artwork is inspired by actual locales, most are imagined scenes or composites of the familiar images, skies, structures and enormous open landscapes found in the High Plains and the Heartland. Local singer and guitarist, Doug Bond, will provide the perfect background music for the Art Walk reception. 5-8:00pm. Free and Open to the Public.
