January 2024 Wine of the Month – 2021 Merlot

The 2021 Merlot represents a balance of Merlot fruit sourced from four vineyards. Red apple, sour cherry, and plum blossom aromas followed by notes of clove, juicy pomegranate, star anise, and cranberry.  Bright acidity and assertive tannins establish complexity in the wine.  Rounded finish of milk chocolate and subtle espresso.

The 2021 Merlot pairs well with Lasagna, roasted vegetables, braised lamb, and nutty cheeses.
