2019 Pinot Gris
Lemon zest and honeysuckle aromas present before refreshing flavors of pink grapefruit and mineral notes subtly sweeten the palate.
Try this wine with lighter fare including beet or pear salad, candied nuts and light white fish.
Classic Chardonnay with flavors of lemon grass, honey dew melon and crisp green apple. Using both steel and oak barrels in the aging process produce just a slight, savory hint of Oak.
Pairs well with roasted chicken or salmon- or simply enjoy with friends.
2018 Bistro Blanc
Bistro Blanc is Pend d’Oreille Winery’s white table blend, representing fruits from several white grape varietals. The juice of the fruit is pressed directly after harvest. The Chardonnay is transferred to 100% French Oak barrels. A small percentage of the 2018 Chardonnay was tank fermented for added freshness. The Pinot Gris and Albarino complete fermentation in stainless steel tanks to establish the fruity, fresh flavors representative of these wines.
Pairs well with seafood, chicken dishes or a light pasta salad.
Albariño grapes are a Spanish varietal, originating in Galicia, Spain. Crawford Vineyard in Prosser, Washington has cultivated and succeeded in growing traditional Albariño grapes which Pend d’Oreille Winery sources each season for our popular Albariño wine. The Crawford Vineyard falls under the Yakima Valley AVA. The long-standing relationship between the Crawford family and Pend d’Oreille Winery is reflected in the quality of the grapes and depth of character of the Albariño wine.
The 2019 Albariño offers hints of honeysuckle and melon aromatics followed by nectarine, pineapple, and honeydew melon. Mildly acidic, off-dry with a hint of honey. This wine complements seafood, oysters, and salted almonds.
